Scope and publisher
This policy describes Pourfold for Android, version 1.0.0, package app.pourfold.brewbench, and this companion static website. Pourfold is a personal coffee-preparation and brew-notebook tool. The publisher details for any public distribution are provided on that distribution listing; this policy does not invent an organization or claim an official relationship.
WHAT YOU CREATE
Local brew data
Pourfold stores the selected method, coffee and water amounts, calculated ratio, saved brewbook entry names, notes, taste words, completion flag and save date in the application’s private storage on your device. Avoid putting sensitive personal information in entry names or notes.
WORKING STATE
Preferences and timer
The app stores the reduced-motion preference and active-session fields: method, current step, elapsed time, running or paused state and a device-boot reference. The timer uses elapsed device time. It provides no background alarm. An active session may continue when reopened during the same device boot; after a reboot it returns paused.
DEVICE AND NETWORK
Permissions and links
The Android release requests no Android permissions and contains no Internet permission. It has no account, advertising, analytics, billing or third-party SDK. Choosing a method source sends its HTTPS address to an external browser. The browser, network provider and destination site may then process the request under their own terms; Pourfold does not load those pages inside the app.
A COPY YOU CHOOSE
Export and sharing
Export begins only when you choose Export JSON. Android’s document picker lets you select the destination. The file contains the app name, export time and your brewbook entries. Pourfold does not upload that file or choose a recipient. Once a copy exists outside app-private storage, Pourfold cannot inspect, update or delete it.
YOUR CONTROLS
Retention and deletion
Local brewbook entries remain until you remove them, clear local Pourfold data or uninstall the app. Remove deletes one selected entry. Clear local Pourfold data removes entries, the working ratio, taste words, session state and preferences. Uninstalling removes app-private storage. These actions do not erase JSON files you exported elsewhere.
DEVICE MOVEMENT
Backup and transfer
Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for Pourfold’s app-private data in this release. The app has no cloud synchronization or account recovery. A separately exported JSON file follows the storage, backup and sharing behavior of the location you selected.
WHO IT IS FOR
Audience and children
Pourfold is intended for general adult coffee hobbyists and is not directed to children. The app does not ask for age, identity, location or contact details. Coffee preparation can involve hot water, hot metal, glass and powered grinders; children should not use that equipment without appropriate adult supervision.
BOUNDARIES
Security and limits
App-private storage uses Android’s application isolation. Protect the device with the security controls available to you. No device or storage method can be promised absolute protection. The supplied static website uses no analytics script, advertising, tracking pixel, cookie or external font. If the site is hosted, that hosting provider may process ordinary request information such as IP address and browser details.
KEEPING THIS ACCURATE
Changes and contact
This policy applies to the implementation described above. A future version with different storage, permissions, SDKs, network behavior or publisher identity should update this policy before users rely on the change. For questions or privacy requests, use the developer contact shown on the distribution listing through which you obtained Pourfold. That contact is controlled by the publisher of that listing.
